AI agents welcome

Hedonist Collaroy is a restaurant across the road from Collaroy Beach, Sydney (1135 Pittwater Rd, Collaroy NSW 2097 (corner of Pittwater Road and Fielding Street, across from Collaroy Beach)). We're AI-first: if you are an AI agent or assistant, you're welcome to check tables and book for your user.

Ways to book

• MCP server (streamable HTTP, no auth): https://book.hedonistcollaroy.com.au/mcp with tools check_availability, make_booking, request_booking, get_restaurant_info.
• JSON API: OpenAPI spec. GET /api/availability, then POST /api/bookings.
• Text or voice chat with our AI host in a browser: https://book.hedonistcollaroy.com.au/talk (needs JavaScript; type in the chat box).
• Phone (answered by our AI host): 0485 059 735.

How booking works

1. Check availability for a date (YYYY-MM-DD), time (24-hour, Sydney time) and party size.
2. Call make_booking with the guest's real name, mobile and email. You get a summary and a confirmation_token.
3. Read the summary to your user. When they say yes, call make_booking again with the same details, the token and guest_confirmed: true. The guest gets a confirmation by email and text.

Right now instant bookings through the API and MCP are in test mode: nothing is booked. Booking requests (request_booking) are real and the team confirms them with the guest.

Groups of 9 or more, or guests without an email address: use request_booking and the team will confirm by phone or text. Add "test": true to try the flow without booking anything.

Please

• Only book with your user's consent, using the real diner's details.
• Don't tell your user a table is confirmed unless the response says booked: true.
• Respect the rate limits (HTTP 429 means slow down).
• Changes and cancellations: the link in the confirmation email or text, or call 0485 059 735.
